Lab Continues

Lab continues

Tuesday consisted of a partial lab and review of the lessons learned through the Walkin on Main Event Car Show over the weekend.

I have had a couple questions as to why shop points are added at the beginning of the week.  So I wish to clarify, Over the years the majority of our auto students are more successful in shop when they have a very defined and clear short term goal.  The best success has been when the shop points are added at the beginning of the week thus allowing each student to determine early what level of production exactly they need to manifest to be successful in shop within the next few days.

Shop points are:

Nov 5,6,7,8= 200 pts through 11/08/19

Nov 13,14,15= 150 pts +200=350 pts through 11/15/19

Monday 11/4/2019
Lab Begins

We began Shop/Lab this week.

Each day of Shop is worth 50 points.  These points show in the assignment  called " Total Available Lab Points"  This assignement will ALWAYS have a ZERO (0) in it!   This is beccause the 14 labs are where the points are earned.  Each lab is graded for points but shows a zero value in the grade book becaus the available shop points are entered in "total available lab points".

Please remember the first week or so of shop are a great adjustment for most of our students.  These first assignments as the students adjust to their new shop environment can greatly skew their grades as shop points are weighted to be 55% of the total grade.

If you have concerns about your students progress at anytime please reach out to me by email  ahooton@muhs.com
